David van Gelder

David van Gelder joined the International Accord Secretariat in August 2026 as Policy & Accountability Coordinator. In this role, he supports the development and implementation of protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures that underpin the Accord’s core principles and accountability framework. He is responsible for monitoring signatory compliance and supporting the enforcement of commitments across the Accord’s country programs.

Prior to joining the Accord, David worked as a supply chain sustainability consultant and previously conducted research on the garment industry, with a particular focus on Cambodia and Pakistan. He holds Master’s degrees in Economic Geography and Urban Studies.
